Staff Java Engineer
We’re seeking an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on diverse, high-impact projects in the supply chain domain, leveraging the latest Java and Spring Boot technologies. Essential functions
Lead technical discussions, providing guidance to the team and consulting with clients on strategic decisions.
Oversee the design and development of scalable, reusable microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient deployments with automated test suites.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to prioritize tasks and ensure alignment with business goals.
Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize application performance.
Mentor team members, fostering technical growth and adherence to best practices.
Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development cycles.
Maintain high-quality technical documentation for processes, systems, and architecture.
Work hands-on with Java and Spring-related tasks as part of daily development efforts.
Serve as a key liaison between the team and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project success.
Qualifications
Leadership experience, with proven ability to guide technical teams and manage client expectations.
Expertise in Microservices architecture and modern backend technologies.
Proficiency with Java 17, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, and WebFlux.
Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, and Gradle.
Experience with Oracle databases and familiarity with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
Ability to work until 6-7 pm CET regularly to align with team and client schedules.
Excellent English communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
