Senior Data Scientist

Essential functions

• Develop and implement an AI-based system to extract technical specifications and other relevant information from vehicle service manuals.

• Implement LLM

• Optimize the model for accuracy and efficiency.

• Deploy the AI model on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Vertex AI.

• Ensure smooth integration with existing workflows.

• Monitor system performance and make necessary improvements.

• Automate data extraction and formatting.

• Ensure the system can handle large volumes of documents.

• Significantly reduce the time required to process both new manuals and the existing backlog of hundreds of thousands of manuals.

• Enable gradual cost reduction over time by optimizing the system and reducing the size of the manual processing team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, specialising in data-driven decision-making

• Experience in developing AI systems for extracting technical specs from vehicle service manuals.

• Proficiency in Python, GCP, and Vertex AI for model development and deployment.

• Build an efficient system to process new and backlogged manuals.

• Reduce manual processing time and optimize AI accuracy.

• Minimize costs by automating and optimizing workflows.

• Ensure scalability to handle growing document volumes.
