Data Scientist

Essential functions

• Data Analysis and Modeling: Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive actionable business decisions.

• AI Solution Development: Design, implement, and optimize AI and machine learning models tailored to retail and supply chain challenges.

• Cloud Integration: Utilize cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure for data processing, storage, and analytics workflows.

• Optimization: Develop algorithms and tools to optimize operations, enhance supply chain efficiency, and improve customer experience.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, and product managers, to align data science projects with company goals.

• Reporting and Visualization: Create clear and impactful data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Scalability and Automation: Implement scalable and automated data pipelines and solutions for recurring analyses and model deployment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a data science role, preferably in retail or supply chain.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and knowledge of SQL.

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization tools.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with a cloud platform such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure for data processing, storage, and analytics workflows.

• Ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Would be a plus

• Strong background in retail analytics and implementing AI-driven solutions in retail or supply chain contexts.
