Senior DevOps Engineer

Essential functions

• Design, deploy, and manage highly scalable infrastructure on AWS or GCP to meet business needs.

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, secure, and seamless software delivery across multiple environments.

• Work closely with developers to integrate infrastructure and deployment automation into their workflows, enabling faster development cycles.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate and streamline cloud operations.

• Ensure the reliability and performance of systems through proactive monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting. Implement performance improvements across the stack.

• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards across the cloud infrastructure, codebases, and deployment processes.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and cloud architecture to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, helping them grow technically while promoting best practices in automation, scalability, and cloud technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with business goals and project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, and automation, with a strong focus on AWS or GCP clouds.

• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Extensive experience working with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.

• Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience in cloud security best practices, including identity management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with an eye for detail.

• Ability to mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and ensuring the growth of the team.
