Java Developer

Essential functions

• Design and develop high-performance business applications from requirements analysis to production.

• Continuously improve software quality by evaluating and integrating new libraries, tools, and technologies.

• Conduct code reviews, refactoring, and thorough testing to ensure optimal performance.

• Analyze and enhance application performance, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

• Develop robust and simple solutions for complex technical challenges.

• Collaborate in an Agile environment that values innovation, teamwork, and creativity.

• Work with a modern tech stack, including Java, Spring, Objectify, Protobuf, Guice, Mockito, JUnit4, Truth, Hamcrest, and Google AppEngine DataStore

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or strong theoretical knowledge in algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.

• Proficiency in Java, including collections, concurrency, and JVM internals (a plus).

• Hands-on experience with Spring framework and enterprise application development.

• Understanding of distributed architectures and scalability principles.

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix-based systems (bash, SSH, grep, etc.).

• Proficiency in development tools: IDEs, compilers, debuggers, profilers, version control (Git), bug tracking systems, and build tools (Maven, Ant, etc.).

• Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (SQL, JDBC); understanding of ORM frameworks is a plus.

• Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Proactive problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
