Staff Data Scientist

Essential functions

·      Lead the development and implementation of advanced deep learning models using a comprehensive technology suite including Pytorch-Lightning, PyTorch, Pytorch-Lifestream, PySpark, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CLIP, Domino, Cloudera, VertexAI, and Hadoop.

·      Technical lead for data science team and oversee client communications to ensure project progress.

·      Manage the full lifecycle of model development and deployment, from initial R&D to final implementation, developing project roadmaps and backlogs in alignment with strategic objectives for efficient project completion.

·      Responsible for deploying machine learning models in production environments, optimizing for performance.

·      Engage in strategic discussions with executive data science leadership to devise and refine deep learning solutions.

·      Enhance and modernize legacy deep learning systems to current standards.

·      Execute large-scale model development projects.

·      Oversee ETL operations, addressing and resolving issues to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.

·      Various worksites—job may allow for remote work; job may involve relocation to anticipated or unanticipated locations across the United States, including client sites and Grid Dynamics’ offices throughout the United States and/or company headquarters located in San Ramon, CA.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field

 ·      At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:

1.     Developing and implementing deep learning and machine learning models, including neural networks, predictive modeling, and data analysis in the churn forecasting field.

2.     Python, including libraries PyTorch and TensorFlow.

3.     Managing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.

4.     Big Data Technologies: Hadoop, Spark, and big data querying tools.

5.     Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in data storage.
