Senior Database Developer
We are looking for a Senior DB Developer to lead the migration of a legacy MS SQL "CSS" database to Oracle as part of a large multi-year program. The role involves designing and implementing a robust database layer, ensuring performance, scalability, and seamless integration with the existing application.
Essential functions
Design and develop high-performance business applications from requirements analysis to production.
Continuously enhance software quality through code reviews, refactoring, testing, and adoption of new technologies.
Analyze and optimize application performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Develop simple, robust solutions for complex technical challenges.
Collaborate in an Agile environment, fostering innovation, teamwork, and creativity.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Oracle and PL/SQL with hands-on experience.
Understanding of Stored Procedures and their migration processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities.
Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies, with a focus on best practices.
Would be a plus
Experience with Oracle architecture is a plus.
Familiarity with AWS and Redshift is beneficial as they may be used in the future.
MS SQL knowledge is also a plus.
