Staff Software Engineer

Essential functions

·      Launch implementation of new project required for client’s internal projects ecosystem, including but not limited to the application system architecture, CI/CD pipeline design and feature implementation utilizing Java programming language and relational databases.

·      Unit testing and code review.

·      Implement new features based on requirements and the road map.

·      Analyze output data and adjust the overall pipeline architecture development.

·      Engage in stories and tasks effort estimation.

·      Conduct research on technologies to be used for development.

·      Technical lead requiring collaboration and elaboration of tech solutions with the project engineering team.

·      Various worksites—job may allow for remote work; job may involve relocation to anticipated or unanticipated locations across the United States, including client sites and Grid Dynamics’ offices throughout the United States and/or company headquarters located in San Ramon, CA.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.    

·      At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:

1.     Backend development using Java

2.     Frontend development using JavaScript and ReactJS

3.     Software design and microservice architecture

4.     Performance analysis and optimization using memory profilers and DB query execution plan analyzers

5.     Relational and NoSQL databases

6.     RESTful API Modeling Language (RAML)
