Senior Java Developer
Us at Grid Dynamics are looking for a highly skilled Back End Java Engineer to join an elite team working on cutting-edge online web services for a world-renowned technology leader. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, optimising and scaling web applications that reach millions of users. The role involves working in an Agile environment, leveraging cloud technologies, and building large-scale distributed systems.
Essential functions
Optimize system performance, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
Work within an Agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration.
Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment and infrastructure management.
Work with distributed storage and caching systems to enhance application efficiency.
Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications
Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable web applications.
Experience building and optimizing backend APIs and frontend interfaces.
Proficiency in the Agile software development lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in Java backend programming languages.
Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and experience in database design and optimization.
Proven work experience with large-scale technologies such as Redis, Cassandra, Voldemort, or similar.
Availability to work with up to a 10 AM PT time overlap.
