Senior Treasury Accountant

Essential functions

Cash Management: 

• Manage daily cash flow, including cash forecasting, monitoring bank balances, and initiating wire transfers.

• Optimize cash positioning and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.

• Develop and maintain cash management policies and procedures.

• Oversee and administer company bank accounts and banking relationships.

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly cash flow reports and analysis.

Bank Reconciliations: 

• Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all company accounts.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding items.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Debt Management: 

• Assist with the management of company debt, including loans, credit facilities, and bonds.

• Track debt covenants and compliance requirements.

• Prepare debt-related journal entries and account reconciliations.

Foreign Currency Transactions: 

• Account for foreign currency transactions, including hedging activities.

• Monitor exchange rate fluctuations and assess their impact on the company's financial position.

Financial Risk Management: 

• Identify and assess financial risks related to treasury operations.

• Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.

• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Other: 

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.

• Collaborate with other departments on treasury-related matters.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of treasury processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration 

• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience

• Public Audit experience is preferable 

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (Local accounting standards/IFRS/US GAAP)

• Experience in e-banking systems

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

• Fluent in English and in MS Office

• Good communication skills and positive attitude

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work required overtime during critical periods under tight deadlines, such as month/quarter/year end reporting or special projects

• Flexible working hours due to time zone difference
