Data Scientist

Essential functions

• Develop AI solutions for conversational and multimodal product discovery, product catalog enrichment, and other related applications.

• Design, implement, and optimize prompt engineering techniques for effective LLM-based system applications.

• Apply NLP techniques to address classification, NER, summarization, sentiment analysis, question answering, and other tasks.

• Leverage theoretical and practical knowledge of Transformers, including tokenization and attention mechanisms, to enhance AI solutions.

• Implement word and sentence embeddings and optimize vector search techniques using vector databases.

• Build and refine document understanding models, including chunking strategies for RAG systems.

• Develop LLM applications using frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex, employing advanced techniques like Chain of Thoughts and DSP.

• Experiment with agents and tools to create interactive and scalable AI systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-grade AI applications.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python programming and best practices for prompt engineering.

• Deep understanding of LLM applications and their usage in tasks like NLP, summarization, and classification.

• Theoretical knowledge of Transformers and related AI concepts.

• Experience with word embeddings, vector databases, and vector search optimization.

• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying AI solutions.

Would be a plus

• Experience in developing LLM-powered systems with advanced techniques like RAG and agentic design patterns.

• Familiarity with evaluation metrics and approaches for LLM-based systems.

• Competence in keyword and vector search algorithms and tools.

• Expertise in fine-tuning LLM and embedding models.
