Software Engineer

Essential functions

·      Develop high-performance business applications, from requirements gathering to the output operation for search optimization.

·      Develop and prototype unique search solutions at all stages of processing for search optimization.

·      Determine the scope and content of test cases, providing verification of compliance programs.

·      Adjust the program to the customers’ specs developed on the basis of analysis of the output data.

·      Implement the start-established programs, input of initial data, and define terms of search optimizations.

·      Develop procedures for deployment of components of the system for search optimization.

·      Monitor compliance with the terms for development and implementation of search optimization.

·      Create catalogs and files of standard programs and design programs to expand the use of computer technology for search optimization.

·      Provide estimations for search optimization activities and maintain search optimization roadmap.

·      Analyze and investigate production issues and incidents, elaborate steps to reduce risks and improve application quality metrics.

·      Perform all levels of testing including functional, integration and system for components of Search platform.

·      Prepare programs for debugging and conduct debugging for search optimizations.

·      Architecture, develop and maintain custom automation frameworks using Java, Typescript, Python, and NestJS.

·      Work in a Cloud environment within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Draft relevant technical documentation.

·      Various worksites--job may allow for remote work; job may involve relocation to anticipated or unanticipated locations across the United States, including client sites and Grid Dynamics’ offices throughout the United States and/or company headquarters located in San Ramon, CA.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor of Science degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field. 

 ·      At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:

1.     Java

2.     Elasticsearch

3.     Python

4.     Amazon Web Services

5.     Ansible

6.     Kubernetes

 Two years of experience must include at least one (1) year of experience with the following:

 7.     Amazon Web Services

8.     PostgreSQL
