Senior QA Automation Engineer with JavaScript
We’re looking for a skilled JavaScript Quality Engineer. You’ll work with frameworks like Webdriver.io, Cypress, and Playwright, expanding our reach and capabilities in web testing. If you have strong JavaScript skills, experience in test automation, and a passion for impactful work, we’d love to hear from you!
Essential functions
- Develop and maintain JavaScript Node.js SDKs for client's Web accessibility testing engine, including libraries for frameworks like Webdriver.io, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Extend the functionality of supported frameworks to enhance our testing capabilities and provide a seamless developer experience.
- Collaborate with the team to harmonize SDK frameworks, ensuring consistency and maintainability across different tools.
- Design and develop new SDKs to expand the reach of our accessibility testing engine and support additional frameworks.
- Optimize SDK performance, maintainability, and usability through continuous improvement and iteration.
- Participate in the Scrum process, contributing to planning, estimating, and delivering features and bug fixes.
- Implement best code quality, testing, and documentation practices to ensure the SDKs are robust and easy to use.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript programming language and its ecosystem.
- Proven experience with test automation frameworks such as Webdriver.io, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Deep understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation.
- Familiarity with JavaScript build tools and bundlers like Webpack, Rollup, or Parcel.
- Knowledge of JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.
- Experience with version control systems, notably Git and GitHub.
- Understanding accessibility principles and guidelines (WCAG, WAI-ARIA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and its benefits in SDK development is a plus.
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing and debugging.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about design and architectural decisions.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices and standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
