Junior DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team In Cracow. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for cloud technologies, automation, and a desire to learn and grow within the DevOps space. You'll work closely with our experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
Essential functions
- Collaborate with senior DevOps, database engineers and stakeholders to maintain, monitor, and improve our infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Manage and optimize cloud environment.
- Manage high volume, transactional databases servicing various customer-facing applications
- Handle DR, enterprise backup and recovery strategies
- Managing changes via Terraform and Ansible (or comparable tools)
Qualifications
- Understanding of Linux systems and networking.
- Some experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
- Familiarity with one of scripting languages (Python, Java, Shell).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
- Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Problem-solving mindset with a team-oriented attitude.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Stress-resistance, ability to efficiently detect and resolve production issues.
- English B2
Would be a plus
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Understanding or hands-on experience with Kafka
