Senior AI Research Engineer - Multimodal Generative AI
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior AI Research Engineer with expertise in multimodal generative models to join our team. As a Senior AI Research Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and advancing cutting-edge solutions in the field of robotics and embodied AI. We are looking for individuals with a strong background and proven track record in deep learning, large generative models, and development of complex AI systems.
Essential functions
- You will be a part of the RnD team, designing and developing foundation models in the field of robotics and dexterous manipulation
- Lead and contribute to cutting-edge research in multimodal models, robotic perception, and motion generation
- Design, develop, and experiment with novel algorithms, architectures, and techniques that enhance the performance, efficiency, and scalability of our AI models
- Design and implement robotic applications combining conventional computer vision, motion planning, and generative models
- Define data generation, collection, and curation strategies; supervise data collection to scale up our datasets and model capabilities
Qualifications
- Strong engineering ability with Python and PyTorch
- Experience building ML models from scratch in PyTorch
- Academic or professional experience with generative multimodal models such as Diffusion Models and GANs, Transformers
- Experience with physical simulators (Pybullet, IssacSim, Mujoco, etc.) and training RL policies in simulation is a plus
- Experience working with large scale AI training (GPU clusters)
- Strong publication record in deep learning, generative model, multimodal models, computer vision, or RL
- MS or PhD degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
